Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today my dad turned 55. I love my dad so much, and am so thankful for his wonderful example of what a man and husband should be. David and I went over to my parents' house to celebrate his entrance into the IHOP Senior Citizen club (wink, wink, ha, ha!) and have dinner. Mom and I had fun taking pictures of her house; they recently painted their dining room and sunroom and took down the Waverly wallpaper of my youth (Thank you, Lord!). : )The sunroom is mustard yellow and the dining room is "pumpkin cloves." They also did their ceilings 50%, which turned out really pretty! Mom and I always have fun playing around with the camera.

My granny has been busy making everyone new stockings this Christmas. These are my mom and dad's stockings from her. I'll post the ones she made for David and I on Dec. 17th for the "Tour of Homes." They are to die!!!

Mom's dining room- I LOVE the funky orange!!

Looking into the sunroom from the living room where my dad and David are watching the show, "How It's Made", and eating chips. They are such good buddies!

  12. I tried to go to the "help" section of blogger, but couldn't find any way to actually contact anyone... but I did actually get an email saying I got a comment from you. But through this whole thing, I've gotten a couple emails, just not all of them. So i don't know if it's fixed or not.

  14. Your parents' house is very pretty! Did I see an old sewing machine? I have a real old one in my upstairs bedroom that we use as a bedside table with a lamp. I love it!

  15. Your mom's house looks great. I remember the wall paper! And her pictures. She was always good about taking pictures and making sure people got copies.

Mom and Dad are building just about 150 yards from their trailer. We're buying the trailer from them. Right now, we're all in the trailer. The ranch has staff housing, but it really wasn't working for us. All those kids, me pregnant again, and having to go up steep, 140 year old stairs. Nope, it wasn't working! The trailer is a good size for us, for now!
