Go Hogs Go!!

<

My Aunt Cathy made this Razorback purse for football season, and gave it to me as a birthday gift! I love it, Cathy! Thanks!

I LOVE watching the Hogs. I cried when the band came out, I cried when we made a touchdown, I teared up when the retired band director led the marching band... I guess I am just a cry-baby. I can't help it- when everyone is yelling, and screaming, and dressed all in red and white, my eyes start burning, and I just can't stop. What can I say? I love my Hogs!
(I also love playing with my camera!)

Pre-Game Pictures!

Getting ready to go to the Razorback game! I decided to paint an "A" on my face! Pretty good for not having a paint pen! : )

Hair

We just got home from the Farmington Vs. Prairie Grove football game. I am a little wind blown! : ) I'm loving my short look!

"Orange-ness"

So, I have decided that with all the unusable land we have, that I will grow and cultivate a pumpkin patch. I will never again pay $7.00 for a pumpkin. Nope. David has resigned himself to this and is finally on board. I have been doing pumpkin research and have decided that in order to have a successful crop, my whole family must also be on board. The pumpkins must be grown indoors for several weeks, and then transplanted to a fertilized bed, watched, rotated, covered, dusted, etc, etc, etc....
I can envision a "Pumpkin-Picking Party" that even Martha Stewart herself would be proud of! : )
Get ready yall'... Next year, I will be blogging about vegetables and saying things like "circumference", "Density", "hue", and "Orange-ness." I will have so many pumpkins, I can't stand it! I will have them on the mantle, I will have them on the stairs, I will have them in the kitchen, I will have them "everywheres"!

Next, Christmas tree farm.....

A Quiz

My new bloggy friend Kelly tagged me with this!
The Game of Tag about your MAN:
1. Who is your man?
David

2. How long have you been together? .
Total= 11 years.

3. How long did you date?
Dated 3 years, engaged 1, married almost 7

4. How old is your man?
We are both 26

5. Who eats more?
David does. No question about it.

6. Who said "I love you" first?
I think I did. Honestly, we were 16, so I can't remember.

7. Who is taller?
If you really knew us well, you wouldn't ask- I am 5'2, He is 6'0

8. Who sings better?
Neither. We both sound awful, which makes it unbearble when we travel together. We just crack up at ourselves.

9. Who is smarter?
He is a math genius, that can't write, and I am an English teacher who can't add. You decide.

10. Whose temper is worse?
Definitely mine. I refuse to put up with ridiculousness, and he is much more lackadaisical.

11. Who does the laundry?
We both do. We are probably tied on that one. When we got married, we decided that no one would have a set "job."

12. Who takes out the garbage?
Whoever remembers first.

13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
David. I like for him to be closest to the front door, danger, strange men, burglars, creepy noises... ya know how it is...

14. Who pays the bills?
100 % David. I know this is crazy, but I can honestly say I have not cashed OR deposited a check in over 5 years!! He handles every bit of that.

15. Who is better with the computer?
David. He writes programs, does our bill pay online, handles our budget in excel. I am the blogger though, so I can't be underestimated. : )

16. Who mows the lawn?
David. The lawn is his fortress, and he is the king.

17. Who cooks dinner?
Again, we are divided. I do half and he does half. I love to cook, but sometimes he beats me to it. We often argue about who is going to do it because we both enjoy it.

18. Who drives when you are together?
David. He thinks I go too slow, don't know the "back-secret" ways, and are too cautious. Ask me who has had the most wrecks though. That is an interesting story.....

19. Who pays when you go out?
David. Again, I have no dealing with our money unless it involves shopping.
(And that is just fine by me!!)

20. Who is most stubborn?
Hard question. Probably me. I am more high strung.

21. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong?
Definitely me. I hate feeling like we are not getting along.

22. Whose parents do you see the most?
Mine, but I call my mom every day and make plans. David is not a phone "talker" at all, even with his mom, so I usually have to remind him to call her.

23. Who kissed who first? I can admit it. Me... I put the moves on him in my parents driveway.

24. Who asked who out?
David asked me.

25. Who proposed?
Of course David did!

26. Who is more sensitive?
Me, for sure. I am a crier, a deep thinker, a girl!!!!

27. Who has more friends?
Me - but don't girls usually have more friends?

28. Who has more siblings?
Funny question again. Davis is the youngest of 6, and I am an only child. I love that too. Being an only was a lot fun in my family.

29. Who wears the pants in the family?
David makes the big decisions, but we consult each other on everything!!! We try to never make the other feel like one is "IN CHARGE" and the other is less. I have never been afraid or hesitant to speak my mind. He hasn't either! We talk about everything under the sun.

I tag: Brandy, Amy H., Brittany, Amy from Utah, and Leah.

My Haircut

Just went in for a haircut.
I had (drumroll....) 7 & 1/2 inches cut off!!!
My inspiration was Jenny McCarthy's New "Do!"
Bet you can't wait to see it!

Open House (Beacuse Brandy, Leah, and Jai asked!!)

Our Open House was the most humbling experience. We had friends and family drive in from far and wide. We were so humbled by the outpouring of love and encouragement. Thanks to all who helped make our day special. There is nothing like tons people tromping through your house to make it feel like a home! We now have fun memories in every nook and cranny!

OCD

My OCD is kicking in tonight. I want this book to be perfect!! I have to remind myself that no one but me will notice whether or not the square tiles are not equal by 1/20 of a millimeter. I could literally spend three hours on one layout, being the perfectionist that I am, but, I know my friend will love it regardless of the "character" flaws I will add to it! : )

Baby Jordan

Tonight, I took about an hour to sort through scrapbooking supplies in order to begin a baby book for a client who has ordered a scrapbook of the first year. We made a trip together to Hobby Lobby to choose color themes several months ago, and I have tried to keep Christmas in my mind as a delivery date. With my Open House near completion, I feel like I have a bit more time to begin. Her personal preference is more modern and less old-fashioned, so I expect to have lots of creative fun. My labor is not free, nor is it cheap, so I wanted to wait to start this project until I could give it the time, energy, and focus it deserved. Hopefully, I will complete two pages a week. I have not scrapbooked in quite some time, but have rather been a 'card maker', so this will be a refreshing change of pace.
