Oven hood and kitchen cabinets!

I love my new oven hood! I designed it to flair at the bottom and to be covered in B-board. Our downstairs floors have been acid stained, and cleaned. They will get a top, glossy coat before we move in.

Trim and stairs are complete!

Wow! The trim went so fast! They were done in about 5 days! We love our stairs. When we originally drew the plan, we fiddled with how and where we wanted the stairs. We moved it around twice, and when we finally made the decision to place it where it is, I moved my laundry room to be at the top, so dirty feet and clothes can just come right up the stairs and strip down! : ) Our concrete floors downstairs will be acid washed in the next few days, and then everything will be painted. Our cabinets are custom from Smith's Cabinets in Prairie Grove, and I had him match the cabinet doors to the interior carriage doors we picked. I wanted them both to have a B-board design. Our built-ins as well, coordinate with the mantle design. It has been so much fun picking and designing the details!

Happy Birthday Amy!!

We had dinner with Zack and Amy to celebrate Amy's birthday on Sunday night, and then we went to her family's birthday party on Monday night. I call the first few pictures, "Two Men and a Baby!" David is so comfortable handling babies, that he often times appears slighly dangerous due to his talking with one hand, holding with the other approach. He is totally safe, and will be a great daddy one day for sure, but we do get a kick out of watching him hold the kids. It was a fun time!

Hudson Grey Froud!

Lyndsey had her baby, Hudson, on April 22nd at 1:26 "ish" a.m. She was in labor for 26 hrs. and ended up having to have a C-section, but her and the baby are doing great! After Lyndsey got her drugs, she was a much happier girl! I got to the hospital around 12:00 p.m., and stayed until 4:0 a.m., the next morning- it was a long night for everyone (especially the new mom and dad). He is so beautiful! He looks a lot like Lyndsey with his round face and full cheeks. He has a ton of soft brown hair. : ) They make a precious family and we are so excited for them! We have been waiting patiently to meet him and I can't believe he is finally here! The best things in life are truly worth waiting for. We love you, Dean and Lyndsey!
