Fish-Fry at the McCash's

David's family hosted a Spring fish-fry- it was yummy! It definitely made summer feel right around the corner! Everyone brought their dogs (minus Bichon) and the kids had a good time playing with cousins.

Sheetrock is in!!

While we were on vacation, the sheetrock, back siding, and facia went in. We can now see the height of the ceilings, the archways, and the feel the size of the rooms. We are having bullnozed corners, and those are being added to the sheetrock. We have picked our brick and rock for the front- natchez trace brick and tahoe ledge stone. We can't wait to see what will happen next!

Spring break 2007

Skiing at Wolf Creek! I always love sending out postcards- I hope those of you who got one enjoyed it! : )

Spring Break trip 2007

Fifteen of us left Arkansas, and stayed a week in Southfork, Colorado. We rented a three story log cabin and skied together for four days. Our cabin sat on the banks of the Rio Grande- it was amazing! We spent a day in Durango and Pagosa Springs shopping. We took our neice and nephew, Amber and Greg, with us. We had a blast! : )

Connection Group babies- Annabelle and Zayde! Parents: Sam and Jenni, and Zack and Amy. They are as cute as buttons together!

Back in business!

The wiring is back in- the insurance took care of everything, with some help from the electricians(thank you Lord!!) The foam insulation is going in tomorrow, and sheetrock the first of next week! David has been chopping down dead trees and cutting it up for firewood. He has enjoyed having a place to get outside and "mess"! I have too! : )

Dishonesty is disheartening!!

Our builder called the police first, and then David. In the wee hours of this morning, someone broke into our new house and stole every electrical wire, insulated coppper wire, and damaged the plumbing. They ripped every single wire from the ceiling, walls, and downstairs. In the process, they bent and damaged our plumbing pipe. Our house is 2500 sq feet, so we are talking about hundreds of dollars worth of wire!! The police have filed a report, but what can we do?!? I get up every morning at 6:00 a.m. and go to work to make an honest living. I try to do the right thing, and live by the golden rule. The dishonesty of some is disheartening! Now we are behind schedule and out thousands of dollars! The nerve of some people.... GGggrrrrrr......

Exterior windows and doors are in!

The exterior windows and doors are in. The deck is finished (minus the stairs, but we have to wait on the driveway for that), the foam insulation has been sprayed downstairs, the arches are in for the doorway openings, and the roof is about halfway shingled. Lots of fun stuff happening this week!

Chyann turns eight years old!

A neice on David's side, Chyann, turned eight today! We celebrated at David's mom's house with dinner, gifts, and cake. We bought her a Cabbage Patch doll, complete with a "real" birth certificate and adoption papers, which she quickly filled out. We love Chyann- I secretly wish she was mine! She is so sweet and perfect!!!
