Date Night

Every few weeks, David whips up an unofficial date night. I won't know about it until I usually get home, but sometimes he emails me late in the day to give me a head's up. I have never complained about David being boring- he is usually so spontaneous with his ideas that sometimes I get thrown off course. He will plan dates that involve dressing up and going out, and will only tell me about them a few hours in advance. We are really similar though because we don't like to be at home too much, so for the most part it works out well. We go to Fayetteville almost every night, with the exception of a night or two. It is mainly to eat out, but we love to go places- I think it makes us feel like we do more than just work. Last night, when I came home, he had a dinner-movie night planned. It was fun! We curled up on the couch and forgot the problems of the day!
(BTW, I am cursing my hair! I had it cut short a month or so ago, and it is already touching the top of my shoulders again. Ughhh!!!)

  1. That was nice of David. Helps to make life not get into a rut. I can't wait till my house projects are done & my house is back in order, so I can seat down & enjoy a movie. David is such a great husband.

  2. So sweet - I'm going to go make Scott read this. ha!
We are your opposites - we would rather be home than go anywhere - it takes a lot to pry us out of our house at night (especially in the winter when it's dark and cold at 5:30)

  9. How sweet of David! I know what you mean about your hair. I went short 4 months ago and it grew WAY too fast. I cut it even shorter this time. Thanks for the compliment, it's so much easier when it's short.
