Anatomy of a Blizzard

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

We exchanged cards and candy and flowers and had our nephew over for dinner.
I really enjoyed designing so many Valentines for you, blog readers!

Several of you that emailed were teachers and many just wanted cards for their school aged children.
Thanks for letting me design a sweet little Valentine for each of you this year.

It was great to get to chat with so many of you via email.
: )

A few weeks ago, we had 23 inches of snow dumped on us over the course of just three days.
It was unbelievably deep.

So deep, in fact, that if you look closely at the pictures, Henry is almost completely swallowed in drifts.

We only got three days off of school, so I bundled the boys up during one of Hollin's naps and let them explore.

The snow has only recently begun to melt.
This past week I took the kids for a walk and we encountered a few icy patches, but pushed onward.

This is the face of a mama who is trying to beat those winter blues and get outside whenever possible!

Love these kids!

Spring is on the horizon, but I have a feeling our snow isn't over quite yet.
Hope all is well in your corner of the world!
