Moving Day

Moving Day is here!

We are expecting the moving truck to appear in the morning, bright and early. We had a farewell dinner tonight complete with a Rick's cake- so yummy! It was the last time my family be all be together until Christmas. Living in a new state, amidst boxes and chaos, does not lend itself to good blogging, so I plan on being offline for a week or so to get settled. I promise to come back soon and fill you in on how things are going! Please pray for safe travels- it is a long 14 hour drive, and with a 29 month old and a little dog, it may be slow going. David and I will be driving separately in order to get both his Jeep (trailer and zero turn radius mower), and my BMW to Detroit together at the same time. But, the good news!! My mom has packed her bags and it coming to live with us for a month or so until we get settled! This will give me to time to unpack and paint and decorate without worrying about Harbor and our little dog, Bichon.  Oh, happy day! My mom is such a huge blessing. What a wonderful generous spirit she has!

David has been working on the house in his days prior to coming to Arkansas. Paint has been purchased and is ready and wating. The third floor bathroom has been demolished and David has been hard at work laying backerboard and new tile. We chose a gorgeous crisp white subway tile in a hexagon pattern in keeping with the charm of our 1928 cape cod. I'm thankful David is handy around the house. It makes home improvement projects so much more affordable. We have much to do, but are looking forward to a new home and city.

I'll leave you with a few pictures from tonights' dinner! Farewell!  : )

I hope to be blogging soon from the city! Say a prayer for us! We love you, friends and family!
