Welcome to Alaska

Hello! It feels like we live in Alaska, not Arkansas. We have seen record breaking snowfall this past week and cold, cold temperatures. It has been just gorgeous in our neck of the woods!

David has been on the road a lot lately, but made it home in time to spend one day outside playing with Harbor before heading back out for a few days. We had a perfect snowfall that was just right for making snowmen.

Once Harbor realized that playing in the snow was a real option, he dressed himself many days alone in attempts of breaking out the garage door. Point in case- footed pajamas and rain boots. I love my silly boy!

Harbor loves spending time with Rachel and I am thankful David can help her with her Math homework. Math was never my best subject- obviously, reading was, but David is really strong mathmatically. They work and I serve refreshments. Ha! My end of the deal is an easy one!

22 inches of snow anywhere is something to talk about, but in southern Arkansas, it is a big deal! I feel like I should be living in Alaska! We had such a fun time playing in it- I mean, it was really amazing! Sooooo deep! Harbor just barely kept his head and shoulders above the drifts is many places. It made David and I both feel like kids again!

The snow is slowly, but surely melting. Today, we had nice weather in the 60's. I had planned on cathcing all of my pictures of to date tonight, but it is already 10:30 p.m. and I need to head to bed. I am working tomorrow for only the 3rd day in two weeks- the snow has closed our little country town down.

Today our little family exchanged Valentine's Day presents. I don't want to embarass David, but he handwrote a love poem as part of my gift and it was so very romantic. My mom also took me shopping and out to eat for a treat. It was a fun time, just us girls.

I skyped for the very first time tonight and we bought a GPS Garmin to play with in the car. Technology is so much fun, even if don't really understand how it all works.

Today was one of my best friends from high school, Lyndsey's, baby shower and she is having a little girl. She got so many cute things that I cannot wait to show you.  : )

I hope to blog tomorrow night again to get caught up. A picture a day is easy, but hard to stay on top of when it comes to uploading them. I know I'll be glad I did someday. Two months has almost already passed as it is.

I hope all is well with you! Take care!
