We spent the 4th just the three of us- no BBQ's, parties, or big family events. My parents have been out of town on a 16 day vacation to the Grand Canyon, the Sequoia Redwoods, San Francisco and China Town, wine tasting in Napa Valley, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Jackson Hole. My other family, Rachel and her parents, flew out to Santa Barbara for the 4th to watch the fireworks on the west coast.
With it being just the three of us, we spent the 4th working in the garden, picnicking at the University of Arkansas, and watching the fireworks at our local community football field. It was perfect. And simple.
