Our sweet Henry is a year old.
He was born off the banks of the Detroit River,
a stone's throw from Windsor, Canada.
In fact, from the upper windows of the hospital, I could see the Canadian banks.
Henry was named after Henry Ford,
whose spirit is still alive and well in the city of Detroit.
By naming him Henry, we hope to always recall our two years in the Motor City.
Since we live away from family, we had a small family party for just the four of us.
Many, many friends and family members mailed gifts and cards.
We are so thankful.
I hung wrapping paper in our framed picture already
on the dining room wall to create a simple backdrop.
I created the cupcake toppers, banner, and party hats myself.
{I'll share a party hat tutorial later!}
It was a Henry Ford party for our little Henry Edward!
