To start the holiday with a little extra cheer, Harbor made Thanksgiving Day turkeys and mailed them to his favorite family members.
Thursday afternoon, my family met for Thanksgiving lunch. We had a great time eating and scoping out the flyers for the big sales in the morning. David and I will be heading out at 10:00 p.m. tonight to try and grab a few things for Harbor William's Christmas. We had a wintry mix hit our area with sleet and light snow for just an hour or so- it has made for a very cold night in Northwest Arkansas! At 7:00 p.m., we all headed back into the kitchen to make "dinner" plates and football has been on all day. Everyone has been full... and thankful! We have one more dinner on Saturday with David's family. I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful!
I hope your tummy is full tonight! Mine certainly is! : ) Gobble, gobble!

Thanksgiving Shirt
A few nights ago, my mom and I ventured out to buy fabric for Harbor's annual Thanksgiving and Christmas shirts. We have been making them for every holiday since he was born. It took awhile to find the right fabric, and in the meantime, the plan for the night started to disintegrate. Harbor refused to sit in the cart, wanted to stand up in the back and jump, and insisted on touching every bolt of fabric we passed. Eventually, even this failed to occupy him. And yep, wouldn't you know, it then started to thunderstorm! : )
My mom kindly took Harbor to the car to wait on me to finish shopping, measuring, and having my fabric cut. Ahh, the joys of toddlerhood! All was forgiven, however, when he fell asleep on the way home. He is like his dad- take him to a fabric store and there will be tears! He will be sporting a very cute Thanksgiving shirt, and for that, it was worth it. Ha!

Apart from a truck window and some monogramming, I think we have a winner!
I'm looking forward to this weekend- I'm finalising my Christmas card newsletter, putting my Christmas cards together, and attending two birthday parties for Harbor William's little friends.
Here is to a family-filled, meaningful weekend!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Harbor William!
Double Sided invitations created by Brandy Foshe of FosheFotos
This past weekend we celebrated Harbor William's birthday with close friends and family outdoors at a local park. The weather was cool and crisp, the leavers were a brilliant yellow, and the sun shone brightly with a touch of warmth- it was a perfect birthday!
Harbor loves anything that can, "Go, go, go!" He especially loves airplanes. I made 25 tissue paper "clouds" and David hung them from the cathedral ceiling of the pavilion. I also constructed and painted three Styrofoam airplanes that we hung from the center of the clouds over the cupcake stand, the goodie bag table, and the gift table. The other five tables for guests had clouds and in place of soaring airplanes, I painted the number "2" to hang out of the clouds.
When the wind would pick up and blow, the planes would swing in the pavilion, and Harbor was mesmerized; I think he thought, even if only for a few moments, that they were real!
We had a great time visiting with our loved ones and playing at the park. Planning birthday parties are so much fun and I hope that someday Harbor will look back at pictures and know how much love I had, and always will have, for him in my heart.
Up, up, and away! You will be three before we know it!
Happy Birthday, Harbor! You make me very proud and I love being your mother!

Have a great week! Talk to you soon!
