Sneak Peek

I know, I know... Chide me for posting Christmas decor before the Tour of Homes... But I just couldn't help myself. My granny and I finished the vintage tree skirt from the prom dress via 1982 we bought for $15 at the Salvation Army. Consider it a sneak peek!

David and Zack went camping and hiking all this weekend (in the freezing rain... I know.. Crazy, right??) So, Amy and Zayde spent the night in "La Chateau Guestroom McCash" Friday and Saturday night. We had fun spending a girls' weekend together! I worked on my Christmas cards, painted some ornaments for personalized gifts, lied around in my p.j.'s, ect. My granny came over Saturday morning and finished taking the bodice off of the prom dress. We hemmed the top, reattached the tulle can-can underneath, and fanned it out under the tree! I love it! Every time I look at it, it makes me grin like the Cheshire cat. I love anything a little vintage and a little unusual.

David and I, after we got off work tonight, rode to Bentonville together to the BMW dealership to pick up my car, which had a new alternator put in over the Thanksgiving break. I missed my car terribly. I hate being without a car. After we picked it up, we went to Schlotskyz for dinner, and David surprised me by wanting to hang out at the Promenade for a few hours. At this time it was already 6:00 p.m. He even agreed to go into Sephora for a good half hour while I played around in the makeup. David loves to shop, but his fav' store Banana Republic was off limits tonight- too expensive after the damage I did on Black Friday! We strolled around in the cold, listening to Christmas music, and looking at the lights. I love Coach, White Dress Black Market, and Ann Taylor Loft, so it was fun to see what was out for Christmas. It ended up being a very romantic Monday night.

  3. Thanks for linking us! You are on my links, too. Let me know if that's not okay.

I love the tree skirt! I want a new one but am not quite as handy with the sewing machine as you. Give me paper and pictures and I'm okay, but me and the sewing machine do not get along.

We were in Aruba before the situation with Natalie Holloway, so thankfully it wasn't creepy, plus we were only there for a day (it was a stop on our cruise). I loved it--the beaches and the water were amazing. I would go back!
