Easter 2010

We had a very relaxed Easter with Harbor William this year. We spent the afternoon at the park, which has become our favorite hang-out spot of late. Making a "holiday" shirt in leu of buying something has become a bit of a tradition at our house, and I have enjoyed writing Harbor letters and pinning them onto the shirts before I add them to his hope chest. I want him to know the stories behind the pictures. As he grows older every month, I know the days of getting to "dress" him how I want are probably out numbered.  : )  All the more reason to create memories now!

And just for fun, I wanted to show you some of the recent photos my mom has snapped during nap times.... How he does it, i'll never know, but he is sure good for a laugh. These are the days to remember!

We have recently returned from our anniversary trip to celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary. I hope to post pictures soon.... I appreciate all of those who still click on my link to read about what we are up to- I know I have not been a "good" blogger these past few months, but you will be happy to know that I have been a "good" mommy and wife and teacher instead. My time seems very limited these days, and I appreciate those two or three of you who are still reading (grin!)  : )   I hope all is well! Take care and take your Claratin! Spring is in full bloom!

  3. That is just the funniest thing that he sticks those skinny long legs thru the crib... He needed something to prop them up on! :) I'm still reading girl!

  5. That shirt is precious! I love the idea of a hope chest for him...it appeals to my sentimental side! Oh, and you've been a power blogger compared to me; I haven't posted since October!! But hey, blogging shouldn't be an obligation, right?!

  10. I think it is so sweet that you make "holiday" shirts for him and pin notes to them. That's going to be special for him, but also for you, too....and I'm sure his future wife and family will like it, too. :o) Very sweet! He looks soooooooo grown up....goodness! Feet out of the crib rails...and crossed no less...he sure does look comfy - hahahaha! You should never feel obligated to blog - life itself definitely comes ahead of blogging about life. ;o) Take care!

  12. What a cutie and I love the shirts you make for him.

As for blogging...you are doing the most important jobs first and we'll still be checking on you.
Have you decided on building or buying yet? Just wondering.

  14. I should have done the hope chest for my 2 older kids. It sounds more like a memory chest. Your son looks like he would love a recliner. hehe
