Walk-out basement is almost finished!

Our walk-out basement is almost finished! The blocks have been laid and set. Gravel is being layed, and on Friday, the foundation will be poured two blocks deep. On Monday, the framers will begin with the downstair walls. We are excited to see so much progress in such a short time!

Christmas on the Fayetteville Square!

David and I went to the "Square" to see the lights. It is always a treat. This year, we saw a white camel, reindeer, and of course the beautiful carriages. David and I worked the night before at the Town center for the Washington Regional's Physician's Christmas Party. Talk about neat! Those Dr.'s sure know how to party. They had an amazing set-up with incredible food and decorations, and we were thrilled to be invited to help. Anyway, we have been lucky this year to see the Square more than once. It makes for a festive season!

The footings have been poured!

We are so excited to have the footings poured at the land. The next step is lay the block, and start framing. From here, we're hoping to move quickly (weather willing!) It was a cold day, but it was fun to hang around and watch the progress. The footings make the house look so small. It is deceiving to the eye!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Christmas is just around the corner- my cards are done, and the tree is trimmed! : )

The concrete blocks have been delivered!

Our house is coming along- slowly but surely! The concrete blocks for the walk-out basement have been delivered, and the lines for the footings have been drawn. If only the weather would cooperate with us! : )
